Inner Track Rod Ball Joint - Technical drawing
Since I can not find a Rave for the D3 or a Workshop manual on the net or whatsoever...
I am looking for a technical drawing of the steering
So steering house, track rods, etc...
As TFC told me it could be the Inner track rod ball joint I would like to see this...
Have this play on my wheels and she will go in on Friday to solve this, I want to be prepared before they tell me that they are gonna charge me lots of € for just doing standard stuff...Disco 3 TDV6 Aut. 7 seat, Zambezi silver, Privacy glass, Rosen A9 DVD, Tow-kit, K&N airfilter, Frontrunner Windcheetah + 4xHella Comet 550, tailgate ladder, 5 breaklights , Performance BB6 17" + Duratracs 256/70R17, RLD Skid-plate, Traxide second battery setup, Lightguards, BAS EGR's blank kit, BAS Silicone hose, Black bonnet decal,

Hi there disco_doozle
I had my ball joints, track rod ends and other assorted suspension bits done.
The garage basically got a whole new wishbone and parts for each side and put them on.
Job was expensive but well worth it.
BEFORE they do all this make sure they have ALL the nuts and bolts as LR didnt put anti seize gubbins on the main bolts and I had some seized on. After grinding one side off they called LR and aksed for the bolts - sorry on permanent back order - LR hadnt paid the supplier so the supplier told them to shove it.
Now i live v close to the plant and I had a friend 'aquire' the bolt in quesion from the track!!!
Just a warning.
Hope it works out - the car feels sooo much better now.All things shipping, storage, transport. UK and worldwide.

Don't have a drawing of the part but the track rod with inner ball joint is about £15 per side, fitting takes about 30 mins per side, you'll need the tracking (not 4 wheel alignment) done afterwards

Got the D3 back yesterday...
Yes mister, there is play on your front wheels lik eyou indicate.....but thats normal.
And regarding to the drawing, yes we could change those, but only after investigation, and if it are not these ball joints we must change the whole steeringhouse.
To investigate and change the ball joints....206€ mister....
You still want us to look into this?
So please please please.....anyone a written explanation how to DIY ....
I will investigate myself, bunch of at the stealer....I am really off.
Knowing she went in 3 times during waranty for knocking in my steering ....now out of waranty and they refuse to solve this....it's normal to have play, it's within spec.....
10FC.....could you explain me how to and what parts to order...
