Installation of spare parts |
|
Hi every one.
Im thinking to exchange the saloon seats. My D3 is from Italy and its not equipped with seat heathers. As Im in Latvia and we have diferent kind of weather I (familly) want that our D3 have heated seats. Do some one can tell me do cables are on place if I have 2005 TDV6 HSE model. On the front console I do not have seat heather buttons. The plan is to buy used saloon seats and front console together. If cables are on place, then I have an easy job, just take out seats and replace to heated seats, plug connectors, swap front console and enjoy warm seat. Hope it is easy. As I know some of installation is on my D3 withoit equipment.
Will wait for your ansvers friends.
Regards

I assumed all HSE's had heated seats!-do you have leather memory seats? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

We had a nice high spec in the U.K.
Yes I guess the wires will be there.
Have a look under the rear seats to see if any spare wires

Yes I have leather seats with memory. Cables there are a lot under seat. As I said, no buttons on middle console, with this buttons I can just change saloon temperature.

If the wiring is there, then I would expect you will need a diagnostic tool to update the ccf. Also you many need to add fuses and relays.

As yours is a HSE you might have the wires but it might be an idea to take out the HEVAC from the dash and check if the spare wires and plug are there

there are so many wires behind there, you aren't going to know by having a quick glance.

Well to see if there is an unused plug back there for the heated seats, as it’s a good bit harder to fit the wires than swapping the seats.
Also as the op has a HSE with memory seats it might be worth taking a close look under the current seats to see if the heated seat elements are on the current seats. Please correct me if I’m wrong but check to see if there are wires coming out of the hole in the centre of the seat base.
