Installing extra high beam lights w/o A BAR ?

Hi,

have anyone installed extra high beam lights without having to install A Bar first ? What kind of parts did you use ?

I plan to install Hella 500 FF high beams so that those would not extend the car lenght i.e. to have them under bumber protection.

Land Rover sell brackets to fit their lights on the bumper, I'm sure they could be adapted to fit other makes.
Gareth has them on his D3

Business hint for Americans

Thanks for the hint. I visited the local dealer and ordered those brackets.
They asked 98 euros for those.

ps. Someone of lucky you who are living in USA (or even in UK) with a LOT cheaper LR parts prices, could start making good business by collecting orders, getting payments, buying parts and shipping those members in other, more expensive countries. At least I have now payed over 700 $ extra compared to US prices. There are some more parts that I consider to buy but need to arrange a trip to US first to stop paying overprice.

Funny thing is that when parts get expoerted from UK to US by airplane, prices drop heavily. But when the parts are transported to Finland by a cheap truck, with Russian submarine or ferry, prices get doubled.. Razz

€98 is about £68, price in the UK is about £50 so even with postage on top you could make a saving. That's at standard price without any discounts, try contacting our Disco3 Accessory Discount friendly dealer Nick and see if he'll ship to Finland
