Intercooler upgrade Rs500 |
|
Hi Guys and Girls
Sorry if this has been done to death , but I’ve searched and can’t find any definitive answer .
I’m going to have a go at fitting the Rs500 intercooler , but understand that one of the tubes needs cut to aid insertion ( ooooh matron) , your probably thinking just strip it and then check it and then cut it , I will do that if I can’t find any info, I want to roll a new bead on the one I cut as when I shorten it ,it will remove the bead present ,I will have to roll the new bead at work (swaging machine) also cutting tools at work and I want to make a nice job and not be back and forth 3 or 4 times and I definitively don’t want hoses blowing off as that would really get on my nerves
If any one can give me any cutting info I would be very grateful
Kind Regards
Ian

Disco_mikey did a good write up about fitting, make sure you use heavy duty clips to hold the pipes on is the only tip I can give you, do a search It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thanks M3DPO
From what I’ve read so far the general consensus seems to be the heavy duty T type clamps
I Will have another look to see if I can find any info on how much to cut off 😀
Kind Regards
