| Interfearance with MotorBikes in Traffic! |

Has anybody else noticed that when sitting in Traffic or slow moving that motor bikes or buses with noisey engines effcet the PDC? Bizare but on mine when a motorbike in Traffic pases the pdc chimes... Sure it is just some form of interfearance but its a bit odd....?

Yeah, big lorries too! its weird, but must be to do with sound waves etc.

Yes, I have noticed the same, buses, large trucks, etc. (even pedestrians that walk too close when waiting at traffic lights, motor cyclists creeping their way between the gaps to get in front on the line  ).
Asked the dealer and the reply was that if other devices (on the buses, trucks etc.) emit signals on the same frequency then the PDC could be prone to pick these up and sound the chime. Believe it or not! (May have lost some technical detail in conveying of information from the dealers technical person via the service liason person to me). DS4 SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

... yes I have seen it with big trucks. My cars seems to love big trucks. When a trick is a lot of meters away from my car I get a long beep as a warning that some thing is not ery far away.
WSome day ago an ambulance car with its horn switched on came on the other side of the road. My PDC recogniced this.

hot exhaust gases and carbon particles may well activate the PDC sensors, although you need to be going at a speed below the PDC threshold for this to happen
