Iphone
Hi everyone! Amazing site and people. I'm very new concerning Land Rover. I'm about to buy a discovery 3 2005 in Holand. My question is if in the stering wheel can fit the controles for a phone preferably the original of Land Rover. Or is there another and better solution? Ho one more question: can I use This part for listenig to my Iphone through the speakers of the disco3 using the aux in the backseat console. Grazie Ciao

Welcome michele,
I don't know the exact answer your question, but you might want to check these threads out from the site.

Iphone will NOT work with the LR Integrated phone kit, but not understanding what you need to work.
If you need the music, ipod part of you phone through ALL speakers then you need either a AUX lead, plug it into the socket behind the armrest by the passenger vents, press AUX on the Stereo and turn the volume up full on the iphone, then you can play music through the iphone. And/Or, buy a ipod kit from "the large one"(when the stock comes in), and it fits in the top glovebox which allows FULL integration of the ipod/iphone for music ONLY.
Now if you want the iphone to work for call in/out, then you need a Parrott kit, its a Bluetooth streaming kit that allows the calls in and out, manages the calls by dimming the stereo and uses on speaker in the drivers door. There are many versions of the Parrott kit, so choose one that suits you, there is even one that streams music so that will do both jobs.

Probably my car, I did try a few mobiles when I got it and not successful, and upgraded to the iphone and still did'nt work. I decided to go Parrott after seeing others working fine, and the truck at work has it fitted, so when you get a product that works great, and I use it all day every day you become a fan

many thanks to everyone for your helpful answers, especially to wiggs (no offense intended to anyone!)!!!
always ready and available with good information to all of us on this site.
for the iphone i understood i can attach in the aux, but i still have a question.
i want to buy discovery 3 v8 hse 2005 with logic 7 stereo. my question is: can i have the land rover control of the phone in the steering wheel in this car placed by the car dealer? with no offense to the dealer, maybe i misunderstood, but here in holland they said it was not possible. or is there a better solution for the phone connection and control? thank you so much!

You wont get the dealer to fit the full phone PTI system ..has to be ordered with the car at new. There is a LR aftermarket bluetooth kit ( i have this one ) . This comes with the steering wheel switches and a microphone .
Yes dealer can fit it ..but im lead to believe they have stopped making the modules ...in which case the dealer wont be able to get the kit .
Nick from Yeovil LR will be able to tell you if there are any kits left .
search for d3 , Accessory Fitting Instructions and type in telephone
Aftermarket kit allows voice control , stopping / starting the phone from the switches ..is does NOT allow your phone contacts to be shown on the stereo though G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
