I mounted mine inside the lid of the centre cubby box. The control box is under the airconditioning controls. Pleanty of room there. I use Bluetooth so I removed the phone cradle mount and bolted the holder on there instead. It is a bit awkward if you need to use the iPod for control so I have lots of playlists set up but the LR kit is nowhere as good as a proper Dension kit. The iPod keeps running all the time the car is switched on (does not pause at all) and when you use the phone it changes playlist etc when you use the steering wheel buttons. If I need to use the iPod itself to select an album etc it is quite easy to remove with your left hand and replace again - it will just play on when plugged into its cradle.

There are photos of the install in my gallery but I'm at work at the moment so I can't paste the link in as these PC's are dumbed right down.

Hi all
I'm waiting for delivery of a new D3 XS commercial. I've ordered an iPod doc and was wondering if you can control the iPod with the steering wheel controls?
Does the stereo show any track info (title / artist etc?)
My girlfriend has an ipod doc in her MX5 and you need to set up lots of playlists because you can scroll through them. You just need to remember hat you've got on each playlist. It's Ok but if you fancy listening to a specific album or track your stuffed!!!
From an earlier post i'm guessing the LR iPod doc is similar Crying or Very sad
