Ipod compatability

Hi,

Does anyone know if any of the current generation ipods will work with the LR iPod Audio Connectivity System?

I'm guessing not but thought it's worth asking.

I've got a nano right now but wanted to upgrade to one with a larger memory. All the range has now moved on and I'd rather not spend money on an "older" player.

I think the latest Nano is 3rd generation not 5th but I would like to know if the cable does work with Nano 3rd generation as this is a Christmas present for SWMBO and she wants to use it in the D3.

It certainly works with the first and second generation Nano's and according to LR ipod kit instructions will work with 5th generation normal size ipods.

.....maybe some help

the 80 Gig Ipod I bought last year fits the LR holder & works OK.......in fact Awsome
I recently bought a 160 gig classic this also fits & works ok (the size is just the same (except 160 a fraction thinner.

This LR holder accepts the "old Nano" (non video)....but wont hold the new video Nano

It may come to pass this wil be accomodated in a newer version of the LR holder

Ah, so the 160 classic should work then. That'll be what I'll get then.

Easy enough to fit, but search the forum, one of the guys installed the cradle the opposite side of the steering wheel i.e. between centre console and steering where where it's not so visible from the outside, and also this means you have more slack on the cables. Sorry, I haven't been able to find a link to it.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
