What is the average cost of a good 2004/2005 discovery 3 HSE
Hello All,
What is the average cost of a good 2004/2005 discovery 3 HSE. I see a lot of them for between 7500 to 9000. i also see some up to 12500.
All thoughts would be appreciated.

What's the mileage? Presume you are asking because you are selling?

Mines a 2007 with 140000 miles. It's a lot better than when I bought it 5 years 6 months ago with 90000 on the clock. I would be lucky to get £7000 for it now. If buying a motor now I would wait for something suitable on here. The lower mileage examples may be coming up for more expensive bills. In the early years I paid out quite a lot for worn out components but in the last 2 years have had only routine maintenance.

Hi All,
Looking at this disco at present. Any advice welcome. Below are the questions i have asked that i am waiting on an answer.
How many owners?
who and when serviced the disco?
is it due a service?
have the cam belts and tensioner been completed?
when is the mot due?
what is the tread depth of the tyres?
does it have a full spare alloy?
is the spare tyre new or used?
what are the discs and pads like?
Has the disco had an HPI check?
Does it have 2 or 3 keys?
is the steering wheel worn? ( known as sticky wheel)
Has the sat nav been updated?
Has it had a major service?
Has it had cam belt kit water pump changed?
Has it had rear fuel pump belt kit changed?
Has it had gearbox fluid flush and changed?
When did it last have a brake fluid changed?

Always worth posting up the link to any disco that takes your fancy as someone might know it which can be good or bad! but at least you will know, yes you may get gazumped but I doubt it and after all its not like theres a shortage of them.
If you want all the toys the Metropolis version is worth a look, but they are just inside the 500 year tax band which may put you off, but in the scheme of things an extra 4 quid per week is sod all.

I find the people who ask most questions when buying an article are the people who don't buy and lose out! Take myself, while waiting for the answer to 3 questions from a seller on here about a £20+K car someone else has jumped in and bought it It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

If you see a motor you fancy go on DVLA site and check the mot history with the registration number you will have some idea whats been done in the past for it to pass

But you are agreeing by saying, "I jumped in" It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I sold my 54MY £8450 with 113k on it last week. She was mint and I left all my upgrades on. And she had been well looked after with a pile of receipts for any work done.
There’s some dogs of early cars out there, you could get for 4K but it will cost you 2k to fix the issues.
Hi
i am just about to put my 54 plate SE on the market.
£153,000 miles. Loads of history. Just replaced the Clutch with DMF, front wishbone, rear uppers, new rear Air suspension unoits not long ago. replacing air suspension compressor this week.
Will be looking for £5,500 for it.
It is Tonga Green with cream leather interior.
Very smart car.
cheers
Terry

Hello, Love your dogs. the disco is good looking. i like the stormer alloys. problem is i had an se and because it didn't have pdf front and back my other half had a few problems parking. Really need to get an HSE with front and rear pdf or an SE with front and rear pdc.
