Why is it that?

Why is it that…
On the LR website (building a D4) I had selected the Active Rear Locking Diff as an option, when i Came to entertainment and selected the rear seat entertainment system it told me that….

"If you would like to select the Rear Seat Entertainment System we advise the following changes to your build:
The removal of:
Active rear locking differential" Shocked

Why?
Can anyone shed any light on this...
or have i missed something and need to crawl back under my rock Embarassed

There's some weird stuff with the configurations on the D4, but I'm pretty sure this is correct...

...could be something to do with weights and stuff, but not quite sure.....either way, you're not allowed a rear e-diff and RSE, which is frankly unbelievable but true Big Cry

You can not have all 3 of the following on 1 car in the UK for reasons to do with gross vehicle weight (I believe):- Alpine roof, Active Rear diff lock, RSE (DVD).

You can have any 2 of the above.

But since on an XS you can not have RSE it only provides a complication on the HSE.

Stateside I guess the laws on gross vehicle weights are different.

Mark.

Thought - could it be that since the North American D4's all have the lighter V8 engine that there's some extra weight capacity that those of us with the 3.0 TDi's can't utilise?
