Is it just my imagination or....

does the suspension alter itself. A few times now I've thought I left in in access mode but, it goes into off road when started. I may have accidently knocked the switch but not sure.

mine's done this a couple of times, only if a door is opened or the ignition is turned off during a height change.
Initially I thought the same but a few experiments proved otherwise - not always consistent though so it could be linked to an auto - level operation as well. Don't see it as a problem, just a bit of 'character' showing through Wink

No. The only time it will alter itself is when it goes into extended mode when the vehicle is traversing rocks, deep holes or similar. Oh or when used as a winch vehicle when the vehicle it is pulling is set lower.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

it does (and should) auto - level periodically when switched on but not moving, there is a set of traffic lights on my daily drive home with a strange camber on the road, every time I stop there, the vehicle self- levels if i'm stopped for more than 40 seconds or so.
really Censored es off any chav's behind me 8)

So we are not talking about it going into off road or access on its own, but it self-levelling whilst the car is in use.

both.... Shocked
there is the self- levelling which is 'normal' and the situation where, as I understand it, if the system is not at any one of the three presets completely, the next time it starts up, it goes to one of the extreme settings - possibly caused by being shut down during a self - level operation Confused Thud

Me too, did it yesterday at the services. I was sat parked with the engine running for about 5 minutes whilst on the phone, when all of a sudden It felt like someone was rocking the car! It seemed to lower the front, but one corner at a time, so gave a rocking sensation.

Is it supposed to take much effort to get it to go into extended mode? Ours seems to do it if you drive "a bit briskly" along the unsurfaced lane to our house.
