Is Memory Seat Retrofit Possible?

Our new D4 XS is great - smooth, comfortable, powerful, etc, etc. However, the one feature that we've lost moving from my wifes' Freelander 2 HSE is the memory function on the electric seats. I realise that this is absolutely a first world problem, but we miss it!

So, can it be retrofitted? Is it just a case of buying a memory module and the appropriate panel with the buttons on or is it necessary to re-wire half the car? Can anybody enlighten me, please?

You would need to buy the whole kit and kaboodle which would include all the motor's wiring and switches maybe seat bases as well so it would be better to find complete salvaged seats then hopefully you will be able to plug them into the hopefully existing plugs Thumbs Up

Really?? Is this something you've tried yourself? Do you have any more details such as part numbers?

Ah, ok. Could you point me to what you've seen on here? I did search before asking the question but couldn't find anything relevant.

Many thanks.

memory seats

Hi I know from my days at JCi where we buikt the seats on he D3 you couldn't just fit the module the motors in the seats are different for the memory seats plus the EU under the seats and looms are different so I would imagine the same principles have been applied as the frame structures rarely change that drastically.

I also have an XS with power seats.

That sounds a shame, I was hoping I could just fit the memory module and the switch pack in the door handle. Possibly replace the door wiring loom and hey presto. From what I'm hearing however that won't be the case, I've had a look under the seat for any spare connectors but couldn't see a great deal.
Now with: Tow bar & storage, Xenon's, Remote Timed Climate, Mood Lighting, Cubby Fridge, DRL's & Mud Flaps

Accessories: Rubber Mats, Spare Wheel Cover, LR Tyre Pressure Gauge, Warning Triangle, LED's throughout & Leather Gear Selector Top

Further Planned retrofits: 13 pin Tow Electrics & Heated Steering Wheel

Possibilities: Blackvue, Rear Seat Heaters & Memory Seat
