thanks for the info on break in. Mine is holding steady at 22 mpg - mind you it's harly been off the drive LOL!!! Dealer actually gave me a full tank of diesel (a first) as well as the awful mock walnut things next to the two outer vents. I told him I didn't want to seem ungrateful, but I would have rather he had'nt. So this diesel helps a bit with the pain for the first few miles.

England

20K on the clock and a mixture of town and fairly high speed motorway driving gives me an average of 27 - 28MPG consistently. On a long weekend run when I'm not in a hurry (motorway cruising at 2,500RPM 'ish) I get around 30 - 31 MPG. Best ever reported was a leisurely cruise across to Belgium when I got up to 34MPG.

Fuel Consumption

Only had car for 3 weeks, completed a run of about 360 miles at the weekend, speeds and roads varied from Motorway, A class and some B class roads.

Fuel consumption was just under 25MPG, was a bit disappointed. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

To convert mpg to liters/100km, I found http://www.eforecourt.com/l_100km_mpg_convert.htm

Anyway, I get 9.7 l/100km when driving like grandpa (about 29 mpg) and like 10.9 l/100km (about 25-26 mpg) normal driving style. This means re-fueling every 700-750 kms (about 450 miles) using Shell diesel (regular or extra makes little difference)

The D3 is not chipped; software will be upgraded next week - let's hope I can get to 800 kms / 500 miles Wink

Apparently, for it to work properly you need to fit a Cat-a-litter convertor.

3000 miles on my 06MY TDV6 Manual, I have never reset the mpg thingy and its showing 27.1mpg. I do 70% cruising 85-90mph and the rest round town, I have not checked the real figure as I can never afford to fill her up all the way! Very Happy
