It's fitted behind the trim panel in the boot - directly behind the C-pillar on the left-hand side of the D3. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I had my Brake discs changed and the pads but the local garage now tells me that my PDC sensors dont work???
I rang my local stealers and they said check the fuse which i did and then the module may need changing. I had a look at the module if it is in the right place i assume, near to the tailgate N/S? cant really tell in the picture above, but has anyone experienced anything like this or do i need to change my PDC module?
Thanks,

Please excuse my ignorance as a relative newcomer to D3's. In my XS the towhook lives where that black box is located. Uneasy bedfellows surely?
PS: What does PDC stand for?

PDC
I assume it stands for Parking Distance Control, mine playing all sorts of funny tunes at the moment when ever I put it in reverse.
Not sure what to do with this wheter it needs new sensors.
Does anyone know how much the sensors cost?

The sound comes out the stereo speakers - front for front and rear for rear - assuming you have both!Mark.

The C-pillar is on the RHS next to the row two seatbelt, not where the tow hook is kept
EDIT : 01coccobet beat me to it, i really should type quicker !!Duncan

I think you will find the black box where you store the tow hook, is where Wiggs has located his GVIF box?Mark.

Just to clarify ...
Red is the rear PDC sounder ...( the front sounder comes from the instrument pack not the speakers )
Oh, I always assumed that it came out of the speakers Mark.

No
It also has its own inbuilt diagnostics to help whittle down your problem
"If a parking aid system fault has occurred, the parking aid module will relay the occurrence of the fault to the driver in the following ways:
ô€º The status LED will flash at a frequency of 2Hz if the system is active and fault is detected in the sensors, sounders, related wiring or the module.
ô€º The front sounder will emit an error tone for 3 seconds at a frequency of 1500Hz if a fault is detected with the front sensors or the rear sounder develops a fault.
ô€º The rear sounder will emit an error tone for 3 seconds at a frequency of 1500Hz if a fault is detected with the rear sensors, the switch, the LED in the switch or if there is a CAN bus error."G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
