Issue after changing fuel filter.

2.7td manual. Changed fuel filter today and now have this issue. At about 1500/2000rpm in 3rd gear on light throttle accelerating the engine is chugging and like it's bumping, can feel it through body of car, it's like driving over the yellow lines on road. Can hear engine chugging. Can drive through it. Engine performance is normal/smooth and nothing has changed. I did find an old post with exactly same problem but unfortunately never got any replies. Any advice please and what live codes should I be looking to read? Jbd

What make was the fuel filter?
One of the few things that really needs to be genuine or Delphi.

Thanks for reply. It was a Delphi filter HDF935. I think I have put pipes on wrong? My disco is 2005yr early filter. I expected there to be the coloured card on top of old filter when I removed it but there was none, only a black plastic clip (don't know how it goes back on?) should I swap over the two small pipes on filter head. Been searching to get picture of correct layout of pipes but not found decent one yet. Any advice please.

There is some info on this on here somewhere. Need to use the site search, but there was a TSB issued about this in the early days of the forum.

All sorted. Took filter back out and installed it again using information I found by disco mikey. I had the small pipes on wrong way. Running as normal now. Thanks to everyone for help. Jbd
