It’s Finally Arrived from Webasto!! No more cold mornings
I have just been speaking to my local Webasto dealer and he informs me that there is now a solution/Kit available and on it’s way into the country from Webasto Germany (2 to be precise after that it will be order only). For the D3 to enable the FBH to be used as intended. The kit is around £400 +vat and he is quoting about 3 hours labour to fit at £105 + vat sounds a bit pricey but if you want the heater to work as it should the so be it. Any body want the dealer details PM me.Tintenter

No sorry he didn't have he part number as yet as the kit is still on its way in to the country. but he did say that they had sorted the problem of waking the bus to enable the HVAC to brought into life no doubt thro the radio. can't imagine that it will only be the timer with a 3 hour fit. when i find out more i will post for all. sounds like the 'official' release of the fix developed by Webasto Finland, IIRC, the installation involves modifying some of the wiring to and from the HEVAC control unit, this in turn 'wakes' the CANbus to enable control of the FBH

Zuheizer WEBASTO - Upgrade kit
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello of people,
I got today this email of the Sales services manager WEBASTO UK. The result (corresponding) reads that with the blocked Zuheizer (rather weeks instead of months) the enterprise is to possibly shortly become possible as Standheizung. Funzen does this with a timer (3 switching times), to radio remote maintenance probably not possible.
Point of delivery time and costs still unclearly there field check still being pending.
Man wär which, if this solution funzt!!

The current position regarding the above is as follows:
Incoming goods have what incoming goods now believe is A satisfactory solution, this want enable the Webasto supplementary heater tons utilised as A pre - more heater. The operation OF this wants control LED by A 3 event by day timers. Incoming goods have emergency been able tons find to A solution enabling operation with A remote control DEVICE and this has now been ruled out.
Incoming goods of acres now awaiting on opportunity tons install A unit for A finally trial. Incoming goods have been promised A vehicle ton enable US ton complete this exercise and incoming goods of acres trying ton arrange for this ton take place as soon as possible.
Incoming goods DO emergency envisage any problem with the installation, but until this has been completed and incoming goods have satisfied ourselves that it works into accordance tons our quality standard, incoming goods want emergency take any steps.
It would emergency prudent for US ton commit tons of A time scale without completing this trial, but incoming goods would hope ton have the kits available in weeks than months. Likewise incoming goods CAN emergency finalise A price but incoming goods wants obviously have on indication prior ton the kits becoming available.
Incoming goods would like tons thank everyone for their interest and assure you OF our best attention. As soon as incoming goods have any news incoming goods wants advise you accordingly.

DG, what date was that posted? looks spookily like something that was discussed about this time last year (obviously that possible 'workaround' came to nothing...)

Today of the Webasto dealer belongs:
The so-called Upgrade kit for the Standheizung is not available yet, since Webasto did not release sampling. That will also still longer drag on, all the same which is perhaps already possible in Östereich (see preceding message to the this topic in the forum).
Still to the fact the disappointment came that - as the man of Webasto meant (and that not only because it a genuine Standheizung would rather sell) - the Upgrade kit a thermal output of approx. 3 Watts has. A genuine Standheizung brings approx. 5 Watts. The risk quite is that it is enough to the front sheath in the LR for that more or less defrosts, but that a wohlige warmth will not adjust itself
There then only strong scratching of the disks to tomorrow helps, of it becomes also warm one. Then is the Standheizung geich along…
Thus I consider myself increasingly the installation of a genuine Standheizung.
