It all started with a HDC failure

On my way to work this morning I had a HDC failure warning when I started the D3.

12 hours later trying to get home I had HDC failure, Transmission failure, EPB failure, and it wouldn't start Crying or Very sad

90 minutes later the AA man diagnosed it as a broken alternator (accompanied by a faint burning smell). Thank god for warranties.
