Been having issues with wet carpets for a while and had ruled out the above but still had no idea where the water was coming in, so I’ve been up my gaff in Nortj Wales for a week and luckily the car was under cover for the week, so after 2 days solid rain the family decides they eat to go for a drive as it had also snowed, gitbinnthe car and checked carpets all nice and dry.

There were some flooded roads that the family encouraged me to go through which was fun but on returning to the farm the drivers side was damp but the passenger carpet soaked through with brown dirty water so before I strip out the wheel liners where is the most likely area the dirty water had got in

I can only sympathise. I had a similar issue in that I had wet passenger carpet. Went to do the sunroof drain only to find it perfect and no wet on the pollen filter. I had been jet washing underneath and it was very jetwashy type water.

I was assuming that the spray lifted/bypassed one of the grommets on the floor.

My only suggestion is to remove the carpet (not a small job) and then spray underneath and see if you can see it. Id expect it to be too hard to do this with the carpets in situ.

Hopefully someone can provide a better idea.

Check the bolts of the second row seats. There seem to be cars where not all bolts were fitted on the production line. Happened to a driver on the German forum.

Are you sure the water has come from underneath, could it be water from sunroof drain etc that has been contaminated brown with dirt from under carpets
