United Kingdom 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

Whatever height you jack the car from, the reduction of load on the wheel and gravity will cause the suspension to extend, jacking under the wishbone is dangerous as it isn't a flat or level surface and therefore slippage may occur, jacking from offroad height simply means there is less travel to take up with the jack...
IIRC Citroens were single action hydraulics, not dual action, therefore subject to the same gravitational forces? Confused

Right, that's me done with 'jacking' for the evening! Embarassed

I spent half an hour yesterday putting my nobbly rubber on (oo er missus) and started in off road mode for the first time. Obviously I'd missed that instruction in the manual in the past. Embarassed The difference was noticeable - if I don't start in off road mode then my 8) sealy jack is at the end of its reach when the wheel is off the ground, if I do then there is still room for an extra stretch should it be needed. I'd say the difference is about 2 inches.

Is it a balance thing? Does the car lean over less if you start in off road mode?

I was amazed to see condoms being advertised as knobbly for HER pleasure. If I'd known that I'd not have bothered having my genital warts burnt off!

Anon.

Sorry guys, but whenever I read the title of this post, my minds says "Car jacking made easy", which is the sort of thing some folks round here (birmingham) already know how to do. Shocked
