Why should the company do that? JLR is not a socialist exercise (I hope).

Optimizing manufacturing or supply chain does not have to be forwarded to the customer. They’re hopefully managing to obtain a higher operating margin and thus eventually creating more value for their shareholders (= Tata) Mr. Green while we might disagree on this, from company perspective, anything else would be quite mad.

Laughing Good luck with that one! Wink

Mind you, as they’re using cast off Land Rovers (in place of Renault’s cast offs), you might be on to something Wink Whistle

Unfortunately as in previous years L Rovers cars are poor in reliability as stated in media like What Car, have stated endless issues not sorted by dealers that are also sub standard
As stated also all vehicles are overpriced and don't offer good value to price.
Luckily both my D4 have been surprisingly very good but previous freelanders were more at dealers than normal.
Don't get me started on useless stuck up dealers and customer service.
New Defender don't offer much in way of confidence that it will be any better? and also will be overpriced .
