I have just picked a MY07 D3 XS today, so now looking forward to £85 to fill up and two new tyres (Pirelli Scorpions) at £279 fitted - all before the weekend! Welcome to LR ownership I guess, but pleased to be in this position nonetheless

Remember laughing or smiling confuses the management.
What size Tyres are you purchasing I'm getting hold of Goodyear wrangler 255-55-19 for around £90 they have delivery mileage around 10 miles
The standard D3 tyre I guess - I have ordered now, committed to buy.

Welcome Murfdog,
I purchased a similar D3 a few weeks ago and got an irrepairable puncture ..I needed the vehicle urgently so ended up paying £340 for 2 x Pirelli scorpions instead of £9.99 repair

Welcome Murfdog,
you are going to love your D3.....and this forum is a wealth of information, so when you are not sitting behind the wheel of your D3 with a smile on your face be ready to spend a fair bit of time in front of your computer trawling through all the posts....you'll be amazed at the helpful tips etc on here - plus all the members who are only too glad to pass on their knowledge and assistance.
Have fun.

Hi Murfdog hope you like the new motor, however I suspect the £85.00 fill up is way out now as I live in Warrington and the average litre of diesel is now £1.18 a litre. It will cost you just on £100.00 to fill her up

welcome to the mad house!
Tyres... no-one ever tires of discussing tyres or wheels - ask DSL - for the record I think I've managed to own at one time or other virtually every single available D3 rim type (bar the 18 inch XS and 19 inch slotted MY09 HSE) but to compensate I'm running 19" Sport wheels at the mo...Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
