Guys keep it up! However, as a novice can you please also explain what these mods do exactly, as I have read loads on here about this that and the other.

Yes there will be a remap
Yes there will be some colour coding going on
Yes it needs side steps I think
Yes I like mods and spend money on my cars !

Remap really improves the drivability. It doesn't turn the D3 into a fire breathing dragster but gives much more mid range grunt and eliminates the lag off the start line. Of course it improves mpg if OP's SWMBO is looking, and it's worth it for the improvement in the driving experience. Whistle Whistle

Well it really does increase it lol that's how I have sold it every time I done it!!!

LED lighting kit? Any recommendations as I am sure my kids will leave a door or 2 open and really don't fancy a flat battery!!! Are these canbus sensitive etc? Pretty sure there is a few lamps ready to drain the battery each time I open the door.

Couple of packs of these for the w5w bulbs. Thumbs Up Got them in 5 out of the 6 overhead lights (one old style filament bulb to preserve my night vision), boot light & reading lights, 4 puddle lights, 2 x footwell lights, 2 x numberplate lights, and lights I've forgotten about. Just not used them in indicator repeaters as it dilutes the orange, if that makes sense.

You can get Vanssi LEDs from Amazon or another option Powerful UK has replacements for the lights themselves. There is a significant difference in price though Wink http://www.powerfuluk.com/land-rover-disco...white.html
let me know if you get those, I’m curious...

I bought a set of these from Halfrauds http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs-bla...-bulbs-x-2 for the reversing lights. Not cheap but I was passing and the lure of the LEDs overpowered me. Whistle
