How to keep Engel fridge on?

I recently purchased an Engel 45 Fridge for a trip from San Diego do Cabo San Lucas.
Every time I turn the engine off and remove the key, it turns the fridge off. Is there a way to wire the plug to be always on?

It'll keep the temperature pretty damned cold if switched off for a couple of hours, providing you don't keep opening the lid.
Other than that, sounds like an excuse for you to fit an Aux Battery & some extra sockets in the boot. Thumbs Up

Bodsy has that right. For mine I fitted an extra battery (optima Blue) and ran power to the back to a fuse block. The spare battery is disconned from main when the D3 is off and connected (for charging) when on. I changed the rear power plug to be always on connected to the spare battery.

In the 104+ degree heat here in California this week. I can go about 24 hours without stating before the Blue gets drained.

If you want more info or tips on the second battery - do a search or let me know and I can tell you how I did it.
