I done it last February as a newbie in the exact same standard vehicle and had a great time. I was made very welcome and really enjoyed putting the d3 through a bit of ruff stuff. I too had done the half day at lr experience. I was a little apprehensive after seeing many had some sort of mods (tyres and sump gaurds etc). I have since bought a sump guard from RLD in black (hardly noticeable if your bothered) just incase. One word of advice double check behind you before you reverse anywhere in the quarry!
get you self along for a very good day it is not every day you can drive in

We don't have any mods to our D3 and very little off-road experience and we're going along. We went greenlaning in the south lakes in October and were amazed at the disco's capabilities.
Come along it'll be a great day out and the grin will be even wider than normal.

I think it has been covered by all the above, but do come along, a road standard vehicle with a green driver will do fine
All the routes that may cause problems have an alternative way round and you will not be forced into doing anything you do not feel happy about.
All those taking part will quite happily give out advice or assist if there is anything you are not sure about.
All in all it is a great day out and with the weather and planned routes this years event should be a cracker
Hope to see you there
