The key fob that is used most often, ie everyday, was used this morning but wont work this afternoon.
Got into the car manually and drove for a few miles then the key fob had just enough juice to lock the car and then that was it, no power again.
Surely the rechargable battery should last longer than the 15 months that we have had the car?
The spare, mine, works fine.

Mine are over 2 years and no sign of failing. Perhaps you have a dud. Actually, I don't know how the car charges the keys? there are no obvious contacts.

Induction probably.
I think there are some devices coming out soon, if not already out, that you can use to charge almost anything from one pad that you plug in. You can just leave your phone, ipod, laptop, etc on the pad and they'll charge up happily. These things use induction as well. IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
