Key Signal Blocking Security Pouch
Just wanted to share this.
After yet another RRS got stolen off the drive a few nights ago near where we live I thought I should look into doing something to protect the D4 keys from being scanned from outside the house.
Seems to work really well.
tested it by putting the keys in the pouch then standing next to the car door - couldn't open the doors.
take the keys out of the pouch - able to open the doors.
Seems worth it for £5 formerly Disco3Ben

Many have turned off the keyless entry, no hardship going back to having to press the fob.

If you go down the route of the key pouch, make sure you test it every now and then. I use the Defender type and after about 4 months of keys in and out it stopped working. I believe the coating on the inside must have broken down. I had to buy a new one. And don't forget your spare key too.
Also these pouches have two internal pockets. Only one of them protects the keys, so make sure you put it in the right one.Gary

Figured this is an easy thing to avoid, so I bought one of these a couple months ago.
This is a cleaner and nicer looking option than a pouch. Both of us just put our keys in this box when we enter the house now. I did the same test of putting the key inside and standing right next to the D4. Works as advertised.
Our local councillor gives the pouches out for free ... and knows they wear out so happily gives out replacements too..

Yep, that is what I have done.
Like the OP, I have the 2016 Landmark model that has the software upgrade to prevent new keys being programmed by anyone that is not using the official dealer key programming equipment.
I think peace of mind is more important (to me) than the convenience of not having to press the key fob buttons.Gone 2016 Landmark D4

Be sure to regularly check that the pouch still works.
I bought a couple of the internet and they worked fine for about a year or so and then they suddenly didn’t!
I only discovered it by accident as I’d given up checking them.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

brilliant, thank you.
Once done - does that then mean it can't be cloned from outside the house?formerly Disco3Ben
