One of these will slow down access to the OBD port.
If we can turn off keyless entry it would definitely help.

I've bunged a PM to Pat@GAP to see if it's something he can look at. Just adds another option to locking the ODB port, keeping keys in fridges, boxes or microwaves and faraday cage pouches/wallets/underwear. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

It’s ok shutting off access to the OBD but they don’t need access now to take the vehicle, they can take it and sort out access to the OBD at their leisure later in private.

Yes it’s hard to protect cars completely these days.
I have a Defender as well which has several different layers of security to hopefully stop it wandering off.
Disco keys always in a safe no where near the front door so hopefully don’t give off much signal.
If they want to come in for the keys this is the last layer of security Laughing

Mine must either be disabled or not working. I have to blip the key fob to lock/unlock. Mine is an early D4 XS, so maybe not a feature on those models?

XS doesn't have keyless entry, standard on HSE. Thumbs Up

That will explain it Smile . Thanks Thumbs Up

My 3rd car has the ultimate theft deterant.

It's a P38 and it can take me up to an hour to get it started and I have the key, the key code and and odb interface.

In my mind if anyone is determined enough to take that they deserve it.

I'd just rather the higher tech thieving bandits didn't actually get into the car in the first place. They might find that illusive hairy wine gums that got dropped down the gap between the seat and the centre consol oh the M6. That's mine I tell ye, mine.

And I don't want the hassle of trying to remember to put the keys in the faraday pouch (having taken the other keys off)/metal box/foil/shielded underwear or anywhere else. Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Is it the Ghost security unit your looking at? if so from what I understand you have to enter a code to enable the car to start, seems pretty quick by all accounts.
Thumbs Up OJ

Can Lock you hard wire in, only you will know where is is, it disables access to the key module (allegedly so your IID or SSD cannot find it to duplicate fobs. I had one fitted it, one day playing around with the IID Tool found I could still access the module, reported it back to the supplier, over a year old by then, just, agreed it was faulty, but with the costs of sending it back, then getting it repaired and sent back it almost come to the price of a new one. didn’t bother, in any case, even if you have one it won’t stop you Disco vanishing in the night with the new Fob amplifying being used, they can still take it.
Will then find out later they cannot clone a new Fob so will end up being torched or used for parts.
