hi im having a problem with keys im on about my 5 th one now in around 2 years my genuine one packed up so i phoned around various places foun a mobile key guy said he could do a new one non genuine for £130 and are apparently as good as genuine ones but since then they have been losing the connection with the car one only lasted 2 weeks longest was around 7 months so was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if it could be the car causing it and not the keys packing up
thanks in advance

Have you tried a genuine one, cost about the same as your paying for the other, see Dan @ Duckworths.
Do you know why the original gave up, these things are fairly reliable just the battery occasionally. Just remember:-

I’ve had the same problem. They’re $16 a throw in the US and under guarantee so I just keep reporting them. Maybe had 3 in a year. Bit of hassle but way cheaper than a genuine key. Pairing takes minutes. PAGODA

Can you not replace battery in the original key?
It's easily done. Just remember:-

original key have been deleted now with having to have the new keys paired with the car. the after market keys have a 12 month warranty it’s just a bit of a pain having to keep calling the key guy out and prob annoying for him to so was just trying to find out if there was another reason for the keys and car tos lose connection other than the keys not being as good as genuine ones
