I got about 8% of a MY12 D4 HSE plus the 20% VAT off for being a raspberry 
Interesting that alot of dealers weren"t ready to offer anything at all but if youre ready to do a deal and pay a deposit after the test drive - i think that helps! Beadles at Sidcup, Kent = very approachable and good to deal with Worth a try even if you have to travel! My17 Volvo XC90 Inscription

Unfortunately it's used i'm looking at so a lot of these discounts won't apply.
I've just bid 6% off windscreen price and left it with them, lets see! If you aren't living life on the edge, you're taking up too much space!!

Paul Bradley is the guy I spoke to there. Interestingly, I had tried Guy Salmon at Maidstone too but after turning up for a test drive to find the car covered in bird S  and filthy inside. Crisp packets, sweet wrappers etc and this was at an appointed time not just wondering in off the street!  The sales lady there was dismissive of any attempt to do a deal and just said: "My manager says we don't discount these"
Might just have been having a bad day. Im not a snob but I do feel that if you're trying to get a customer to part with the thick end of £55k (with the options), then at least clean the thing! Just MHO of course and I'm sure others have had a great experience there. My17 Volvo XC90 Inscription

Maybe its because I live close to where they are made but I had the choice from 6 MY12 XS's from two local dealers either Orkney Grey or Black and best discount was 7% off list which was available from Stratstone, Solihull
