Hi Guys
Just bought some second hand ones off ebay ( front and rear ) but they have come without instructions. Is there any link to any fitting instructions - preferably one for numptys ! also do i need any specific tools ?

I got a set ages ago havent got round to fitting yet, has anyone got the white plastic bits for screwing in front light guards ?

When I got mine 2nd hand, I was missing the plastic thingies for the fronts. Nick couldn't get them individually. He pointed me to Wex who luckily had spares.
You may find your dealer may have them lying around, when the guards have been replaced because they have broken, and the fittings have not been used. They come in a blister pack with the other bits. You will also find that the LR dealer engineers in the workshop will have loads of spare riv nuts for the rears. The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

I was looking at these the other day, love the look and the functionality, BUT, and its a biggie, do they whistle  ie are thye noisy?

rivnuts? looks like i'll need some of those too! do I need a special tool to fit rivnuts ? Also should there be a template for the drilling ?

Yep, best to get one of the tools. And yes there is a template supplied with the rear ones. You might be lucky enough that someone hasn't binned it.
IF your car is due a service shortly maybe your stealer might put them on for you and save you the bother or get yourself to a D3 meet close to you and no doubt someone there will have the tools and know how to fit them for you if you ask ahead of time. Paid for in beer  A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

they are silent of mine but that may be due to the roar of the roof rack and lights .... 2012 Defender 110 XS Utility 2.2
