I fitted Nexen Roadians to my Discovery TD5 and for the money were very good tyres and wore well.
For a budget tyre they get good reviews.
I wouldn't hesitate to fit them to my Disco 3.

Wasn’t their an email on here somewhere that LR had sent to the dealers basically saying anything not LR approved should be removed off vehicles offered for sale under approved used, I.e third party accessories
I think that will give you something to quote to the Dealership and back up your argument Budget tyres are fine for a budget car, but I don't think that a 2015 D4 can really be classed as a budget car That said, they know fine well that if you don't buy it, the next guy will
When I bought mine back in April, I really struggled to get anything thrown in for free, or a bit knocked off the price, because the last of the new Landmarks were selling like hot cakes after the D5 launch.

I can vouch that late D4s are very much in demand. What would be the difference in price for original fit Pirelli's?

Took my D3 into Marshall's (who were brilliant by the way) for a health check and diagnostic and they picked up that three of the four tyres were getting toward needing changing.
"Make fitted" listed as budget, "make quoted" listed as Goodyear... £199.73 per corner fitted!

£540 for a set of Pirellis or GYs (£135 a corner KwikFit price) less say £200 from sale of Nexens.
Assuming we're talking about 19"ers.

Every prospective car purchaser looks at the price first, if they put new recommended tyres on the price will go up to cover it, if the only thing you don't like is the tyres change them, you will have to pay more whichever way it is done. As has been said 4 years and younger D4s are selling like hot cakes. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Probably, forgot about 20s.
Up those numbers by £45 a corner.

Re: Land Rover approved used tyres policy

I am picking up my Discovery tomorrow which is less than 3 years old. I have been told the vehicle has been fitted with 4 new tyres as part of the approved used scheme - great! The not so great part is the dealer has chosen to fit a budget Nexen tyre which I am not over happy with. I would never fit budget tyres by choice when I replace tyres.
I have raised this issue with dealer and they are saying that there is no guidelines to what should be fitted. My argument is they'd not fit non genuine parts on the vehicle so why should tyres be any different.
Unfortunately train ticket is booked and it's very much a seller's market for D4 at the moment.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Looks like you are in quite an awkward situation here as somewhere along the line you’ve accepted and agreed on the purchase, then made arrangements to pick up the vehicle on 6/11/17.
**Have you actually signed the sales purchase agreement document** if not you may have a stronger bargaining lever to have the tyres changed if you are so unhappy about them or at least make up the difference between say a set of Pirelli Scorpion and what you could sell the Nexus tyres for and have this deducted of the final price. They will no doubt mention trade prices to them not you as a customer.
Ask to speak to the Sales Director or Manager, don’t be fobbed off by a salesman.
The dealer will most likely argue that the Nexus tyres are fit for purpose, legal and therefore the vehicle is roadworthy and any argument you have is unfounded, might possibly offer a service or similar thrown in to save argument.
I think it’s a matter of how much you want to or feel like arguing over the tyres.
Good luck

Thats 109 and I think minimum is 111, but a quick search on here should confirm that?
Just been outside and checked my ATRs and they are 111, might be worth a look in the handbook would be great to have it in writing and then see what they have to say?
