can anyone shed some light on this please?
is LRA basically liek a recovery service that is included with the disco for the 1 st year?
my RAC is due for renwal in March and i'm wondering whether to put it on hold for a year if i have understood what LRA is. there is littel to nothing in the brochure or on teh web site about it!  XC90 T8 R Design Pro

yes its a vehicle recovery / roadside assistance run by AA but the technicians are trained on LR's - you can also get another LR product as a replacement car if yours has to be towed away
its included for the 3 years that the car is under manufactureres warranty - and a costed option after that Duncan

I got the LR Transit connect...... felt like I was driving a shoe box for 12 days whilst i was waiting for 2 egr valves and a front diff to be replaced 
I almost felt like kissing the D3 when i got it back, and this wil seriously effect my decision on whether I'll buy another D3, I can live with it breaking down....... but fully expect a similar motor in lieu whilst the duff around for 12 days deciding what to do with it Nine-tenths of wisdom is being wise in time.
Also appears 9/10 of stopping is stopping in time

Zafira last week after waiting 24 hours... have written an email to LR Customer serviced stating that if they don't sort their act out i won't be moving to a D4 in the future...no response so far. Dealer has lent me a D4 currently. enterprise who have the LRA contract need to sort their act out. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

mates d3 comercial went t  ts up a few weeks back, he mentioned to LR that he needed like for like and they delivered a nice shiny D3 HSE.... with new style cup holders... one wife.......livid

Just be aware that the services provided by LR Assist in the UK may not be the same elsewhere. Here in Oz, we don't get a loaner vehicle, but do get recovered on any "named road" (Canning Stock Route comes to mind ). I did get a 580km tow starting on a "named" rough as guts road, 2 nights in a motel, and a rental car for 2 days when I had an EPB failure. Don't know if anyone in the UK needs to be assured of the tow distance, but it was to the nearest dealer (and frankly the nearest town with street lights).
