Hi, can anyone tell me if it would be possible to retro fit an original land Rover sat nav in the cubby hole of a base model D3? if so is it a straight forward job and are there conectors/wiring for this behind the dash.

Welcome to the site
Yes it can be done ...not for the faint hearted. No wiring there , you would have to change the vehicle loom .
Not cheap either ...take a look here to give you some idea whats involved

TBH if I didn't have the satnav installed I'd go for this option as it has more functions

I'd not bother with the Factory sat nav - it's not even got our road on it! It'd be cheaper / better to buy something aftermarket

I think I will go with your advice EP90, there is no way now I would consider trying to retro fit the sat nav after seeing all the work involved I would probably get it wrong and the missus would nag me even more than she does already, thanks all of you for the information.
