There is something on my car that draws considerable power to the point you notice that the all of the dash illumination suddenly dims for 5-10 seconds then back to normal again. This week I had to have a new alternator fitted, as the old one had bad bearings. I hoped that it may have cured the dimming lights, but clearly it wasn't that. I've tried to do a process of elimination, first by locking the car in access mode so the compressor doesn't kick in. The lights still dimmed and came back up (I should mention this is at random, but not infrequent). I didn't use the stereo or ventilation system, but the same still happens.
I'm a bit lost as to what else would be causing such a current draw. I know there are alot of electrical components on these cars, but something is drawing a serious amount of power and I am at a complete loss as to what it is!
