Leaking Sunroof Can I just Tigerseal it closed
Ok so I checked my sunroof drains yesterday and they aren’t blocked but when I drop water into my sunroof it goes into the roof lining down the pillar then onto drivers side carpet.
My disco is dark blue and I have zero interest in using the sunroof Shall I just put tiger seal all the way around the seal and stop anything getting in as I’m guessing my seal has broke and it lets water in where it shouldn’t or the plastic drain is cracked
It would be a complete of a job to do further fixes if tigerseal didn't 100% fix it.
Is it not better to strip it down and fix what's actually failed?.

I would hazard a guess the seal is just fine, it is more likely the drain hose nipple that has broken off.
Used to be dead common on D1 and D2.
Can be accessed by removing the grab handles/few screws and just pulling down the liner over each front seat, then look in with a torch.
might be an idea to drop the lining a bit and let the space breathe a bit to dry out the seepage..

Seen people seal disco 2 sunroofs up
My sunroof used to fill the front with water after a heavy rainfall and as i didn't have time to get them fixed i opened up the roof and smeared vaseline around the sunroof seal then closed the roof then i went around the full seal with extra Vaseline and then cleaned up the excess i did this over 6 months ago and not a drop of water has entered the car, in my opinion this is the way to go as its invisible to see the seal and totaly reversable when you do get time to fix the problemRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car
