Learned something new in the D4

OK, I've had her for 21 months and done 22k miles in her (SWMBO has done ~4ft of that) and thought I knew what there was to know from day to day use. But ............

........... I knew pressing & holding the lock button on the dibber closed all the windows & the roof. What I've just discovered after a "I wonder if .... " moment, if I did the same using the keyless locking button in the handle it similarly closed the windows I'd left open.

Didn't know that but do now. Thumbs Up

Have you done the global open too? Press and hold the unlock button and all the windows will open for you.

I did that once when playing around, useful in hot places. Not planning to use it in Finland, I aim to keep windows & door opening to an absolute minimum to try and minimise bugs moving in.

Though I wonder if it does global opening just by holding the handle for several seconds. Confused Will try tomorrow. Thumbs Up

Just tried it holding the handle, no joy. Car unlocks, ears unfold but windows stay shut. Thumbs Up

I like the game where I press and hold the unlock button and then as soon as all of the windows srart to go down, I press the lock button to stop them. If I can react quickly enough, I can get an all round gap that’s just right for the dog Wink Thumbs Up

Your sure it closes the roof, mine doesn’t, but then I’ve disabled the keyles entry, so just the global opening/closing only does the windows Question

Beware the global opening!

I was in the garage during one of those recent downpours and was reaching across my motorcycle to pick things off the floor. Keys were in my trouser pocket, and I found everything opened-up much later when I went outside when the rain stopped.

Another enhancement we dont need; we have to pay for; and pay again when it goes wrong. They should have stopped once they got Series I doors to just stay shut.
