Leather Trim & heated seat conversion

Just trimmed my two front seats on my D3 van, what a job! Takes about 3 Hrs per seat. Anybody else tried this with a non-genuine leather cover kit? I also fitted heater elements whilst I was at it. Tried to fit armrests however the seat backs are different and it seams you cant get the bits to fit armrests... Does anybody know where to get the armrest pivot shafts from?
