Leaving the fold

Well after 17 years Discovery ownership, 1997 D1 XS - 2006 D3 S and 2016 D4 Landmark I have just sold my last Landrover. Absolutely amazed to get £40k via Motorway as I wasn't trading it in for anything else. I really didn't think I would have got that sort of money back for it.

The garage that bought it have it listed for £47k if anyone is interested, although it must be the most expensive D4 in the country Laughing

Thanks for all the assistance that Forum members have given to me over the years, it has been invaluable at times. All the best for the future Thumbs Up

Kenny

Kenny

Sorry to read this. I hope you will still keep an eye on the forum & give us the benefit of your opinion from time to time.

I'd be interested to see the details of your car on the dealer's website - can you please provide a link?

Regards

Nigel

Obvious question but what’s replacing it? You joining the Skoda or Volvo subsection? Whistle Whistle

Nothing is replacing it, that's why I didn't trade it in. My wife already had a brand new Kia with a 7 year warranty which she/we love. I only had the Landrovers for towing our caravan which due to health issues has also now gone.

When the time comes to replace the Kia it will be with another one, 7 year warranty and the family run dealership is just up the road from us, we know all the staff and have never had any issues with them Thumbs Up

Are car prices on the rise again?
I get emails from Motorway regularly giving a valuation on the car and just recently it was up a few hundred pounds.

Well it didn't sit long in the garage, it sold 2 days ago, somebody got a lovely car albeit at a premium price.

Hi Kenny hope you are keeping well, at least you can relax now knowing you got through the crank issues. I enjoyed my trips up that way and meeting you and a few others from the board over the years.

Flack Thumbs Up

Hi Mick

Nice to hear from you again Thumbs Up Yes the crank issue was always at the back of my mind but I had the RAC Premium Plus extended warranty still on the car so at least I had a bit of peace of mind with that. Also got just over 1k refunded from them as I took out a 3 year warranty Very Happy

Hope you are doing OK.

Yes Kenny all good here, enjoying retirement now, getting out a lot with my camera's. I had a couple of days up there on my own two weeks ago, got as far as Eilean Donan Castle.
I was just camping in the car, was a nice break.

Flack Thumbs Up
