Bodsy,
You can just tap into the live wires that go to the main strobes ...use this to power the mimic LED's ..
So when power is fed to the strobe ..it will also send power to the mimic LED aswell .
I havent tested it as i have mimic red LED on my strobes any way ..but cant see why that wont work.G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

It's OK if you're using a control box, but the EVS ones are all built in on the LED unit, so not sure it would be able to work in the same way. I'd want to have them externally (at least the front ones) same as CFB so woiuld prefer the waterproof EVS ones. Although the price is

You still have to power the units ..wether there inside or out ..so tapping into that should have the same effect

My front is currently plugged into the front cigarette lighter and my rear goes to the rear lighter, so the wire has to go over the back seats to the rear of the centre console. It had to go here and not into the boot 12v because I wouldn't be able to reach the switch and the wire wasn't long enough to get to the front.
It's really messy and would like a permanent hard wired solution.....but I would also like a quick connect/disconnect so I can remove them when I don't need them.
Also can't decide whether to have 1 switch so they come on together or 2 switches so I can have front or rear depending if I'm at the front or rear of the convoy....
......think I'm going to ask Iain to do it.

Mine arrived today from HONG KONG. very cheap and adjustable to fit the inside of the screen at any angle, and the light flashing unit is fully adjustable to whatever sequence you want

Adrian, oh yes very very bright and well worth it. Tested mine last night in the dark. it was strobing well and adjustable patterns of strobes. I got reflection well off other neighbours car registration plates upto 600yards. In my opinion are just as good as RAC / AA ones.
Well worth the buy. I followed the link at the start of this thread, viewed the sellers other items, and worked out the exchange rate.

Great lights, put the two on my dash, (pictures in gallery) bit intrusive with the sucker mounts so putting a little velcro on the bottom and now perfect.[/img]
At last I got rot round to wiring up the strobes. Mounted all 4 at the back on the loadspace courtesy light panel. Originally intended to mount them behind the rear tailgate glass, but due to the tinting that was no good. Routing the cables so they were totally hidden was a bit of a , but I'm pleased with the end result. The dogs didn't seem to mind the disco lights either
A couple of video clips at the links below - they may take a few seconds to load.

EVS ones are way brighter the switch is good unless you have a webasto heater switch mounted there
In real life they're much brighter - but the video function on my camera doesn't pick it up well. Granted, they're not as bright as the genuine EVS strobes (which I've just fitted to a mate's timber forwarder) but not far off, and a lot cheaper at 16 quid delivered. The webasto's on a remote so no problem there, and there's enough slack cable to be able to get at the epb release cable if I need it.Previously:
