Thanks!
9000 SEK is a bit better (My Range Rover in the UK is £250 a year !(like 2500 SEK) - would like the extra seats though but thanks for the advice on registration.
Could be worth looking in Holland then although from Germany looks like you may not need to pay the Tax? There is a price mentioned without tax for export from what I can see.
There will be a solution somewhere! Maybe buying one in Sweden

The tax payed when a car is first registered in Holland. You get a part of it back when you export it. My mini defender (work in progress)

But when buying you first have to pay the tax (the part of it that still applies) as it is included in the price the dealer will charge you, then get it refunded from our friends at the tax office.

Hi me again
Any thoughts on taxing a petrol V8 in Sweden. Is that much more than a diesel?

Actually, the petrol road tax for the D3 is a lot less than the diesel, around half I would guess. If you want to know for sure, try posting the question on the swedish LR club forum (http://slrk.egetforum.se/index.html). So if you dont plan on driving it much, it may be cheaper in the long run with a petrol version.
