We left on the Thursday evening after work, but bailed at the Moulin Bridge on the Friday evening and found a hotel as it was just too much to do after a days work, even with two drivers.
But coming back got from near Barcelona to Calais on the Saturday (Just made it before the duty free shut!) and got back to Spalding where my mate comes from by 4am Sunday. Few hours kip and I was home before lunch.
But given more time, it would be better to do it in 2 or 3 days and take in some other sights.Mark.

errr ummm, well......
Thanks for the other replies - no chance of doing that in a day with only me driving. Quite like the idea of taking in some sights on the way down/up, could end up being a 2 week adventure once we have been in Barcelona for a few days MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

Just watched the official vid (no idea if same as above).
Despite my best efforts to avoid publicity they captured me. Well for 1/2 second at 3:45. Plus a certain RRS (or is it a FF ) at 5:45 & 6:00.
Yes that was me Del, I actually thought the media guy was going to fly the drone straight into the RRS at one point!
Lazertam, taking in the sights is the way we did it and finished with the LR party in Les Comes. Link to our thread below

Thanks Buckster - looks like a good trip.
Persuading the wife could be a challenge in itself, persuading her to camp could be a step too far, but realise it probably gives the maximum flexibility. I do like a plan rather than wing it, so may have to sort a route and accommodation beforehand. Hadn't considered the one way ferry back home, worth considering.MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

If it helps persuade your wife, we did the whole trip in hotels except for the party weekend itself. You could even use nearby accommodation for that part too if required. I suggested it but SWMBO said "if we're going to the event we may as well camp and do it properly!". It's only two nights, after all. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
