Funnily enough I walked out with a few drill bits, caribiner clips, battery checking tool about an hour ago. Well, it IS Valentine's Day.

I can usually get away with buying tools when we go to Aldi, firstly its a good way of getting me in there and I can also blag that I need them for work.

I got "Do you really need an impact gun and compressor?" my answer was "Do you really need the brakes doing on your car?"

The way I look at it is if I paid someone else it would cost more than the tools I buy to do the job, plus I wont need them next time, in theory, although I then justify buying other tools based on the money I have saved doing the job myself!

My other argument is "do you really need that dress.... Do you really need those shoes...."

Unfortunately Lidl is one of those convenience places where, you double park quickly outside with the Madame in the car, run in for a some milk and bread, and come out with two jack stands and another gadget for the braai (sorry, barbecue),completely forgetting what you original went in there for!!
Whistle Whistle
And then have no clue why there is a deathly silence in the car for the remainder of the way home!!

OK so Im now in trouble with SWMBO!
There was a Lidl near my hotel, so I thought Id just have a quick look at the stuff in the middle aisle (dont normally go there but since i saw this post I was curious)

So the phone call went along the lines of -
"have you spent £120 at Lidl yesterday or has someone cloned your card?"
"No dear its fine there were some cheap tools and bits..."
"Why do you need more tools, you already have every tool known to man"
"ah but these are some cheap bits I can leave in the cars and some bits I wanted for the garage"

Yep I'm back in the doghouse!! Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Were you lucky enough to get a plasma cutter? I desperately wanted one yesterday but they'd sold out in the two shops I went to. They're now on sale on ebay for up to £190 each and one seller has over 10 available. I've spoken to a manager at Lidl and he's going to report it so that they only sell one per customer not all of them for resale.
