Light Upgrades

I have a couple of sets of LF's to fit to my D3. I've asked TFC for the price of a loom to get it all proper. I know I have to get them turned on inside the ECU thingy. But if I get them turned on before I fit the lights will it throw a fault up? ie Does it carry out a self test everytime you turn the engine on. And then when it looks for the lights and they aren't there will it throw it's proverbial teddy out of the pram?

DIY.....take the high-beam directly from headlight to a relay...drop in some cabling and a switch...done. Whistle

Thats how I did it with my spots on the roofrack, simpel and clean...and not difficult to do.

How did you splice into the headlight feed? Did you use a scotchlock or something more technical and nice?

Scotchlock.....and then tape it, just to keep water out.
Its the Bleu-gray (LH-side) or Bleu-black (RH-side)....depends on wich side you take the signal, its Pin 10.

I have put my switch over here: Easy & Fast install....no wholes in dash and also accesable while driving.

How cabling is done on my Roof Rack is seen in my gallery.
