Limp mode
Afternoon all,
New here, although I've been a long time owner and heavy user of my D3's I thought it time to join the forum and pick some brains!
I had a rather alarming issue whilst on the motorway.
Vehicle decided to drop into a limp mode and displayed "Engine system fault" but no other warning lights illuminated. Whilst coasting on a down hill i cycled the ignition to reset the ECU and restarted the engine.
All seemed happy and I continued my way along, again as approaching a sensible cruising speed the vehicle did it again!!!
All in all I had this happen 4 more times all the way home.
In the end I kept the land rover under a certain speed and the fault didn't reoccur.
My other D3, also a commercial, never threw this fault up before.
Cheers

Or non LR fuel filter not able to allow enough juice through.
Tea leafs (codes) need read, otherwise it’s just guesswork.

I think you'll need to plug it in to get a code read to get any answers as to what's causing it.
