load area 'tray' and dog guard

Hi,

not sure if this is a modification or techncial post... i'm sure the mods will move if i'm wrong..

Anywho,

I planned on moving the load area tray from blue D3 to orange D3 as the sides make cleaning out so much easier and the orange one only has a flat rubber mat. BUT it wont fit!!!! Censored due to the fittings for the dog guard on the floor behind the second row of seats stopping the tray pushing all the way in. Does anyone have any smart ideas as to how i can fix this or somewhere that sells a tray that would fit?

cheers
dave

You could get a half height dog guard?

Apparently you can cut the tray to fit the dog guard fittings.

By the way did you bump into a guy in a Silver BMW at Tesco Express while you were filling up the other day. I told him I was keen on getting one and he said he saw you in the petrol station and had a quick chat. It's a small world Thumbs Up

Trim about 3/4 of the front edge from the boot liner to allow it to fit in with the dog guard. I figured it was best to leave a bit of a lip to contain any spillages etc.

You've got the hatchbag there as well RM. I guess you needed to make cuts into that too? Any pics....? Wink

Hi Bodsy, The only cut needed in the hatchbag is to allow the bottom dog guard mounts to pass through.....

If you cut the slit just long enough to fit the bracket through, the hatchbag still does it's job of containing all the hair etc Thumbs Up
