Load space protection and 7 seats - a tidy solution please
What do you do with your load space protection when you have 6 seats or more in use?
My better half loves the load space cover in our soon to be traded in TD5 as nothing needs to be done with it when you drop a seat or two down.
The D3 has superb rear seats but we are somewhat consfused as to what to do with the protection with the seats up. The only solution we can see is to roll it up behind seats 6 & 7 - taking up precious loading capacity.
Apart from not buying it or leaving it at home - any neat solutions?2008.5 D3 HSE, Stornoway, Ebony

I have one of the protectors off ebay. (they are about £29). It protects the boot well, but has to come out for third row deployment. I roll it up and put it behing the third row.

Just puzzled over this myself this afternoon. I will have 7 in tonight for the first time. I've folded up my mat and put it behind the 3rd row with the roller cover - both fit fine. You should be able to fit your load cover in its rear most position thus hiding anything that is stored behind row 3

And don't forget that the load cover becomes a rigid part of the flat floor when all the seats are folded down!!
(Slots on to lugs on the middle row seats, to fit in the small gap between mid and rear row - obvious once a collegue had pointed it out - still, gave me something to show the dealer!)
Oh and the big grove on the top of the load cover is to stow a golf umbrella, with the tip of the brolly slotted under the wide release catch.

Inspired this little detail is too !! How many times have you gone to Ikea and found that the damn parcel shelf / load space cover takes up so much room you can't get your flat pack flimsy piece of Scandinavian tat in !

One (small) irritation is that the rear load cover won't slot into position behind the 3rd row seats once those seats are upright. Unless you know the secret of achieving this .....Disco 4 TDV6HSE

But it does fit with the third row up thats the point of the rearmost position
The shelf goes across and the roller hangs down so you can's see in from below much the same as the normal position really

I know it fits there, but I cannot get it into position once the seats are already up. I have to put it into that position, then raise the 3rd row into place. Its not a big problem really, but I did hope that someone could advise on the particular combination of twists, turns, angles and approaches that could achieve the apparently impossible, and slot the thing in place with seats already up (and occupied by 2 kids with muddy wellies that you really don't want to jump onto 2nd row whilst you get the 3rd row job sorted)....Disco 4 TDV6HSE
