good idea!! thanks, hadn't thought of the main battery box. I know the lid only just clears the Aux battery.

Mac - TFC fitted my oval timer to the space on the facing for the front overhead light cluster. Looks OK there plus it does let you get to the buttons etc to control it if you ever want to adjust the burn time or set the timer manually. Plus you get a clock display too. The remote receiver went behind the driver side front facia air vent.

Well thats what I ordered from TFC. I guess being up towards the sunroof controls (oval timer), its out of the way.
