drop the drivers window
close the door
reach in and press the lock button on the centre dash
power the window up using the 'one touch' function

Use the spare key to unlock it

The engine is only immobilised if the key is removed from the ignition switch 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

you can't use a second key to lock the vehicle whilst a key is in the ignition, it has to be a 'manual' method - unlocking works fine

10, I've also managed this without the window bit
Get out with engine running
go to the back and fail to open the tailgate
return and lean in to press the unlock button, pressing lock instead by accident
close drivers door
go to the back and fail to open the tailgate
return to the drivers door and fail to get in
wonder how you will get your children out of the locked car with the keys in the ignition and the engine running

If we did that in this house, we'd either misplace the spare key or find that its battery is dead, have all the work folders and school bags (and family) locked in the car, the EPB would fail and the car would make its own way down the road...
Hi thanks for the ideas...I often travel with my Search and Rescue Dogs and it would be nice to have a nice cool place to have them rest. Right now it is over 42 C degrees!

PS I had hoped it was a software issue that a dealer could reprogram

Ask DSL - he managed it at Yarwell!
Just get yourself onto a muddy mound that U need to have a look ahead on and she'll do it! NOT that I wanted it done at that time!!!!
Just heard from Mrs DSL that the front passanger door has now locked itself & won't open from inside or outside.
PS suggestion re trying the above sugestions, do so initially with the freont windows just in case!

Tell her to push unlock on the dash whilst she pulls the handle on the inside. That'll get it open. Then off to the dealer for a new latch......Disco 5 HSE Lux
