MB - A bit more info...
The SPDIF is activated when you press the "DVD" option on the touch screen, it can't connect to the AUX socket in the back. It only connects to what ever you plug directly into it (with a fibre optical cable).
The SPDIF is a feature on all the Premium amps, so it's not fitted in error - it's just not used. The only way you'll get it to work is by changing the configuration file on IDS so it thinks it has DVD. Very messy and not worth it.
