I found a similar one when looking for my first D4 ... it was actually on Autotrader and not Fleabay. Completely hijacked a legitimate dealers website.

Yes, astonishing how these guys get away with it.
I also found a Facebook page of victims too - all had similar emails and close calls.

Why would anyone get taken in by this type of scam?Must stop buying shiny toys....

I would say that 99% or even more people don't get taken in. But it only takes one for a good pay day!

The VIN Number plate was removed/scratched out. Not sure if anyone here has a copy of the image but for all the 'experts' on here no one mentioned it.
Not having a go at anyone but I thought it was strange at the time that it wasn't noticed it.

I see why I didnt see that - the alarms had gone when i saw the Ebay Ad and the price, especially when i got to the end and saw it wasn't with a broken crank Must stop buying shiny toys....
